Maharashtra: The schools have started offline classes of Std IX to XII students from November 23. However, student attendance has been only around 19 percent in all these schools.
More than 90 percent of schools have resumed except three district, in Gadchiroli, Osmanabad, Satara, Solapur, Latur, Bhandara, Sangli, Washim and Nanded districts. In the state, 100 percent of schools have reopened in Jalgaon district and Kolhapur which has the highest attendance of students at 64 percent, stated the education department.
It also stated that over the last ten days the students’ attendance in school is slowly increasing.
