New Delhi: While demands from various quarters for cancellation are rising in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the board secretary said that the exams are set to take place and CBSE ‘will soon reveal how’ the test assessments will be done

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Board examinations for class 10 and 12 will happen ‘for sure’ and the scheduled will soon be revealed, said the CBSE Secretary Anurah Tripathi on November 20.

The plea, filed through lawyer Ashok Agarwal, said either CBSE be asked to waive off the exams fee or the Centre should pay the money from the PM Cares Fund in the country. For Delhi students, it said that the AAP government may be asked to do the same.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has dismissed a plea seeking direction to the CBSE and the Delhi government to waive exam fees for students of classes 10 and 12 in the current academic year in view of COVID-19 and financial problems being faced by some parents.

CBSE, may, get, Postpone, Board Exams, To, May, Next Year, – Says, Delhi Government,.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic The Delhi government has urged the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to not conduct the board exams next year before May and further reduce syllabus as schools still continue to remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In order to provide students with a reasonable time to study in person in schools, it is requested that the ongoing academic session be extended beyond March and CBSE board exams be conducted not before May, 2021. Consequently, the next academic session may commence from July, 2021,” it added

The department has requested to further reduce the syllabus for the current session, keeping the COVID-19 pandemic condition and the leftover time available in the session for classroom teaching. “The CBSE had reduced 30 per cent of syllabus in all subjects in anticipation of opening of schools in July but schools in Delhi are closed till October 31. It is also requested that sample question papers aligned with the further-reduced syllabus for the session 2020-21 may be prepared as per the latest question paper design and made available for the students at the earliest,” the DoE said.

The final decision on reopening the institutions has been left with the states and Union territories.

CBSE Time Table 2021: The Central Board of Secondary Education has not made any official announcement regarding CBSE board exam date sheet 2021 yet.

Last year , the board conducted final exams from February-March and announced dates in January. Amid the demands for postponement of board exams, students on social media are asking CBSE and the Education Ministry for “clarity” on when the exams will be held next year.
